If you receive a request from a client to take over the hosting of the domain name, and they also wish to transfer the domain over to your control, it is recommended that you follow these steps:
- Configure hosting within your WHM: Setup a hosting account in your RWI for the client - this will automatically configure our dns servers for the hosting account.
- Upload their site: It is
recommended that you put a freeze on your site during the transition
period, and copy all the files to your local computer. After this, you
should use an FTP client (such as the one freely available from
filezilla.sf.net) to upload all the files to the shared server. The address of the shared server will just be the name of your hosting server (e.g. remus.instanthosting.com.au) You
will need to ensure that all the files are in the public_html folder.

Test your site: You can view your site from <shared server address
goes here>/~<username>, e.g. http://dont.use.this/~example.
Please ensure that your site is fully functional *before* proceeding.
- Redelegate the domain: You need to go to your domain name
registrar and change the nameservers for the domain over to
ns1.instanthosting.com.au and ns2.instanthosting.com.au.

Transfer the domain: Finally, you need to put a transfer order in for the domain through the Enetica RWI (https://www.enetica.com.au/server-live/rwi.cgi)
After this, a confirmation email is sent to the administrative email address
for this domain. If you or your customer do not have have access to this email address,
you will need to contact your current domain registrar for details on
changing this.
There are several reason why you should follow this procedure, not the least of which is that the domain records cannot be modified during the transfer process (so if you transfer the domain before you redelegate, it will take even longer for you client to move over to you, as you wont be able to redelegate the domain).
