A transfer of .com, .net, .biz, .org or .info can often take much longer to complete than .au domains. This is because the transfer system of gTLD's works differently and each transfer requires the authorisation of not only the registrant but also the loosing registrar. From the day a gTLD transfer is requested, depending on the timeliness of the registrant's authorisation, it can take up to 5 or more calendar days once approved.
