When a new server name is created it will take some time before the redirection will work. This information must propagate through the dns which usually takes 24-48 hours but can sometimes take up to 72 hours. A modification to an existing server name such as the forwarding address on server www is usually effective within 1 hour but can still take 24-48 hours.
