Hostnames are specific machines identified by their name which apears in the format hostname.domain.com.au, eg www.enetica.com.au or mail.enetica.com.au

As far as domain management is concerned, a hostname is most commonly used to identify nameserers for a domain. Advanced users would use the 'Hostnames' tool to create nameservers to host their web page on their own web servers.

If you need to create your own nameserver (to host your domain yourself) you can do so through the 'Hostnames' section of domain management. You will need to know the IP address of each host you create.

This will create the nameservers in the registry. After doing this you will be able to delegate your domain to each nameserver you have created.
